.....Well at least my cause is.
The one thing that my brothers and I have in common besides the fact that we look a lot alike and have all wrestled and played baseball, is that we have had a lot of the same teachers.
The only teacher that all three of us have had is our second grade teacher Mrs. Graham who is wonderful and probably the only person who would put up with three seven year old Marables. All three of us also had the same project when we were in second grade – we had a Flat Stanley project that worked on reading, writing and geography.
We all had to send Flat Stanley somewhere – TJ’s Stanley went to Texas and visited the Alamo, Tyler’s went to New York and had a movie made about his adventures with my Uncle Jim at the Nickelodeon studios. My Flat Stanley went to Florida and then got on a plane and spent several days in Las Vegas.
I started thinking about my Flat Stanley because my mom and I are going to Las Vegas at the end of the summer to meet up with her friend Sue and her kids – she has known Sue since first grade. They live in California and my first choice was to actually meet up with them in California so that along the way I could go visit the TOMS office - but that isn’t happening.
Sue’s kids are Christopher and Ally and they are both in high school and close to my age.
Since they are on the West Coast and I am on the East Coast I am proposing to them that I pack up my cause and send it to them. I’ve asked them to be my promoters on the West Coast and my mom has challenged them to see if they can get more votes on that side of the US than I can on this side and to see which one of them can get more votes between them.
So to everyone here on the East Coast and in between – don’t let the West Coasters beat you in votes.
I need a lot of VOTES – VOTE for ME – VOTE OFTEN – pass along my information, my TOMS site and this site to everyone you know and post it all on your Facebook page.
Well my quest to get a Ticket To Give continues and I just need more votes! Don’t forget about me VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE.
